PU CWC marks int’l day of persons with disabilities LAHORE: (Thursday, December 5, 2024): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali has said that everyone has to play a role to make children, with special abilities, active members of the society. He was addressing in a ceremony organized by Punjab University Child Welfare Center (CWC) to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ at Waheed Shaheed Hall. On this occasion, Acting Director IER Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry, Principal Child Welfare Center Dr Ayesha Wajihulllah, Chairman, Allah Walay Trust, Shahid Lone, faculty members, students and their parents were present. On this occasion, special children presented tableaus and received great applause from the audience. In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali lauded the organizers for organizing such a wonderful event and appreciated the role of teachers and parents in improving the skills of children. He said that PU is the oldest and great educational institution of Pakistan and the work done in education of special children is the most excellent and commendable. He said that it is necessary for teachers to teach children with special abilities in normal classes for which steps will be taken. Dr Ayesha said that Allah Almighty has blessed special children with unique abilities, and PU CWC will continue to play a role in identifying them and making them an important part of the society.
